b.safe Control Waste Caps DLC
Best protection against emissions and early-pre-alert: The b.safe Waste Caps „Double Level Control (DLC)“ are supplied with two permanently mounted cables for the connection to the special b.safe Mini-Display “DLC” for fill-level control with pre-alert function. This works very simply: Connect the b.safe Waste Cap DLC to your b.safe Mini-Display DLC via two matching sensor cables. As the fill level rises, a float in the level transmitter integrated
in the cap rises. As soon as the level „canister half full“ is reached, a contact is closed by the float and the corres- ponding signal is transmitted to the b.safe Mini-Display via the connection cable. As soon as the “canister is full” level is reached, a contact is closed between the cap and the float gauge and an appropriate signal is transferred to the b.safe Mini-Display through a cable.
The visual indicators on the b.safe Mini-Display make it easy to see what the current fill level is.The pre-alert is a „silent alert“, i.e. the corresponding LED flashes yellow when it is reached. In the event of a full alarm, the corre- sponding LED flashes red and an additional audible alarm draws attention to the critical level.
To prevent the waste canister from overflowing before or during the canister exchange, the alarm is triggered some time before the canister is completely full.
So there is always a safety buffer inside the canister. An LED directly on the waste cap can also be used to detect when the canister is full. Triggered alarms remain active with b.safe Waste Caps until they are actively acknowledged on the corresponding b.safe Mini-Display by a long keystroke.
The connection of tubes or capillaries to b.safe Waste Caps DLC is also very easy: The free movable insert has as stan- dard UNF 1⁄4“ and NPT 1/8“ threads for connecting capillaries and tubes of different diameters by means of fittings. Waste from the HPLC thus drains directly into the canister with thread. The GL14 connection is reserved for the sepa- rately available exhaust air filter. The activated carbon filling absorbs solvent vapors that escape when the collection canister is filled, so that no harmful vapors can escape.
