Choosing the right tubing
When choosing the appropriate tubing by means of the requested working pressure, three issues have to be considered
- Material
- Wall thickness
- Temperature
You can get this information from the respective chart for PTFE, FEP and PFA tubing. By means of these charts, you can also determine the working pressure for your currently existing tubing. Follow the link to the charts»
Another useful tip regarding bending radius:
Here is a rule of thumb to determine the smallest bending radius:
Outer-Ø x 2 : wall thickness = min. bending radius
Example O. D. 8 mm: 8 x 8 : 1 mm wall thickness = 64 mm
