Our apprentices Dominik Kapf and Heinrich Friedrich finished their apprenticeship with their successfully completed qualifying examination. Now they are starting their career as industrial mechanics at the BOHLENDER GmbH.
On 5th February 2014, Dominik Kapf and Heinrich Friedrich were officially inaugurated in our company after their successfully completed qualifying examination. Training manager Uwe Hossfeld congratulated them in presence of the whole staff and explained the old tradition of the "hit of journeyman" coming from the artisanry where apprentices are entered in the community of journeymen after their apprenticeship. All staff (except of other apprentices) were allowed to hit the newly skilled workers three times with a wooden paddle manufactured in a special ceremony to free them from their previous errors. After they have overcome the procedure, Uwe Hossfeld handed over the wooden paddle in remembrance of this ceremony and welcomed the newly skilled workers.
