Information day for the ,,Industrial Meschanics-to-be''

GRUENSFELD. On Saturday 9th July 2016, BOHLENDER GmbH opened its door for the second time for young people looking for an interesting technical job.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, the interested young people had the chance to pick up information at first hand - especially for the job as an Industrial Mechanic. For more than 10 years, BOHLENDER trains apprentices to become Industrial Mechanics. Interested young persons came with their parents that day to gain an impression of the company and the modern production of high-performance fluoroplastic labware. During the day, they had the chance to learn to know the company in a factory tour. Five apprentices allowed those young people to gain an impression of the daily work of an Industrial Mechanic showing their everyday life setting up and controlling CNC lathes as well as milling, turning and drilling machines. Such extensive information at first hand are very important for young people in their career orientation period and extend the standard information they can get on education fairs.

Training manager Uwe Hossfeld answered questions of those young people and their parents, everything that concerned the apprenticeship such as duration, preconditions, procedure and continuing education opportunities to become e.g. a Technician or Foreman. Mr. Hossfeld is the interface between the young people, their parents and the professional school and accompanies his apprentices for 3.5 years in this important life period. For him, soft skills are as important to be taught as technical knowledge.
